                   A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE TEMPORARY
                   CLOSURE OF THE 700 AND 800 BLOCKS OF MARKET
                   STREET MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED HEREIN ON
                   THURSDAY AND FRIDAY, OCTOBER 4-5, 1990 FROM
                   11:00 A.M. TO 1:30 P.M. EACH DAY FOR
                   "OCTOBERFEST" SPONSORED BY THE CHATTANOOGA
                   DOWNTOWN ALLIANCE UNDER CERTAIN CONDITIONS.
                  
                  
                                                      
                  
                  
       	    	 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
       CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That there be and is hereby authorized 
the
       temporary closing of Market Street between 7th Street and M. L.
       King Boulevard on Thursday and Friday, October 4-5, 1990 from
       11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. each day for the presentation of
       "Octoberfest" under the sponsorship of the Chattanooga Downtown
       Alliance provided that the sponsor shall set out flasher
       barricades and warning signs in accordance with the traffic
       control plan attached hereto and shall provide, at all times, an
       access lane for fire and other emergency vehicles.
